Salt Lake City, UT – October 29, 2026 – Proline Range Hoods has launched the BBQ Ultra HE, a new series of outdoor range hoods for grills and outdoor kitchens offered in 2,400, 2,600 and 3,400 CFM configurations. The under-cabinet and wall-mounted models went on sale October 23, 2026, and are the highest-airflow range hoods the company has produced.
CFM, or cubic feet per minute, measures how much air a range hood moves. Outdoor range hoods sold for residential grills are typically rated between 1,200 and 2,000 CFM, and Proline’s own BBQ Pro and BBQ Ultra hoods have been rated at 2,000 CFM since 2024. The new configurations raise that by 20, 30 and 70 percent.
Outdoor kitchens continue to grow. Where a single grill once stood on a patio, homeowners now install grill-and-griddle stations, smokers, side burners and pizza ovens under one covered roof. More cooking surface produces more smoke and grease, which pushes the airflow a hood needs steadily upward. It also raises the cost of running that airflow, because a larger blower running for an entire cook draws more power. The BBQ Ultra HE was built to address both: more airflow at the top end, and less power to produce it.

The 2,400 CFM configuration uses two 1,200 CFM high-efficiency blowers mounted in the hood and is available on both the under-cabinet and wall-mounted models in all widths. The 2,600 CFM configuration uses two 1,300 CFM remote inline blowers and is available on the under-cabinet model in all widths; the blowers install away from the hood, in an attic or along the duct run, moving most of the motor noise out of the cooking area. The 3,400 CFM configuration uses two 1,700 CFM high-efficiency blowers, is available on the 60- and 72-inch under-cabinet models, and is the highest airflow rating of any hood Proline has made. All three configurations use the same variable-speed control.
Proline’s high-efficiency blowers draw roughly half the amperage of the company’s standard four-speed motors, even when both are running at full speed. The new hoods move more air than Proline’s existing BBQ models while drawing less electrical current to do it.
The blowers are also fully variable. Most outdoor range hoods, including Proline’s existing BBQ models, offer four fixed speeds, which leaves the cook to guess which preset is closest to what the grill needs. On the HE models, a single control knob adjusts airflow continuously from minimum to maximum. A smoker running low and slow for hours can sit at a light, steady draw, and a full-heat sear can get everything the hood has, with a twist of the knob.

Both models are offered in 42-, 48-, 60- and 72-inch widths and are 36 inches deep, extending over the front of the grill where smoke rises when a lid opens. They are built in 1.2mm 304 stainless steel, the grade Proline uses for outdoor exposure, with dishwasher-safe stainless steel baffle filters, dimmable LED lighting and a knurled stainless control knob with lit indicator switches. The hoods are designed for covered outdoor kitchens, patios and pavilions.
Proline’s four-speed BBQ Pro and BBQ Ultra hoods remain available at 2,000 CFM alongside the new models.
“These are the highest-CFM hoods we’ve ever put out, period,” said Carson Zuro, Sales Manager at Proline Range Hoods. “The idea behind this series was to take our HE blowers and bring them into our BBQ hoods, and build something more powerful and more efficient that takes the guessing out of the decision. Is this the right hood for me? It’s a resounding 100% yes.”
“Outdoor kitchens keep getting bigger, with more appliances and more grill combinations going in, and the CFM they need keeps going up with them,” Zuro said. “With these blowers you get up to 3,400 CFM when you need it, a quiet low setting when you don’t, and you’re using less power either way.”
Proline sells direct to consumers and to trade buyers, and works with outdoor kitchen builders, contractors and designers on ventilation specification.
