PENSACOLA, Fla., Sept. 10, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Advanced Technology Recycling (ATR) today announced the continued expansion of its national logistics and on-site data destruction capabilities, combining white glove equipment extraction, a company-owned fleet, real-time fleet monitoring and Starlink-connected mobile shredding within one coordinated IT asset disposition program.
The program is designed to give organizations greater control over retired servers, storage systems, computers and mobile devices from the moment ATR personnel enter a customer location. Many retired technology projects begin far from a loading dock. Assets may remain installed in server racks, spread across multiple floors, stored behind controlled-access doors or located at sites with limited staging space. ATR’s white glove and pack-and-go teams can perform the work defined in the customer’s statement of work, including equipment extraction, rack and server handling, sorting, labeling, inventory capture, reconciliation, packing, palletizing, movement through the building and secure loading.
Before the project, ATR can evaluate equipment volume, site access, security procedures, operating windows, elevators, loading paths, dock limitations, packaging needs and staffing. That planning helps the correct crew, supplies and vehicle arrive together and reduces the need for customers to coordinate separate movers, packers, carriers and recyclers.

A small, high-security retrieval may use a commercial cargo van; a site without a dock may require a lift-gate box truck; and a large data center or multi-site refresh may call for dedicated semi tractors, trailers and staged coordination.

For projects requiring enhanced security, the logistics record can support shipping documents with time-stamped information about movement, stops, arrivals, departures and exceptions.
Geotab technology supports ATR’s fleet operation with real-time vehicle location and status, geofencing, trip history, route information, diagnostic alerts, collision notifications, driver information and electronic logs. On equipped vehicles, connected cameras provide additional context for safety and incident review. ATR uses this information to improve arrival estimates, identify route exceptions and respond to potential disruptions.

Starlink Connects Mobile Destruction to Live Reporting and Security
ATR’s newest on-site shred truck extends the secure processing environment to the customer’s location. A Starlink uplink connects the truck, inventory activity and video feeds directly to ATR systems while destruction is underway. As devices are inventoried at the truck, records can appear in customer reporting in real time, allowing project teams to review counts and serialized records while ATR personnel remain on site.
ATR’s security team monitors the video feed live, and the video is retained as evidence of the destruction process. That record complements witnessed destruction, serialized reporting and final certificates for customers with strict audit, contractual or internal security requirements.
The mobile shred truck is designed primarily for hard drives and can also process small volumes of mobile devices when a project includes phones, tablets or similar data-bearing equipment. ATR can combine mobile shredding with white glove service by extracting approved equipment, validating inventory, separating media, destroying it on site and securely packing and transporting the remaining equipment.
