An Afro Hip-Hop project exploring identity, pressure, and the misunderstood journey of self-discovery.

NEW YORK, NY / MusicWire / May 26, 2026 — Tiwizzy made a powerful statement with the release of his new EP titled “Ungrateful African Youth.” The Afro Hip-Hop storytelling artist explores the emotional reality of young African immigrants navigating identity, pressure, and purpose.
Growing up, many African youths are shaped by expectations built on survival, fear, and tradition. In “Ungrateful African Youth,” Tiwizzy challenges that system, highlighting the conflict between parental expectations and personal destiny. The project’s title reclaims a label often used against young people who choose a different path, turning “ungrateful” into a symbol of self-discovery and courage.
“When an African child chooses their own path, they are often misunderstood,” Tiwizzy explains. “People don’t see the vision; they only see disobedience. But sometimes, you’re just becoming who you were created to be.”
The EP speaks not only to family pressure but also to a wider reality where financial support is mistaken for control, where young people are expected to sacrifice their dreams in exchange for stability. Through melodic flows and emotionally driven lyrics, Tiwizzy gives a voice to those who feel unheard.
Inspired by real-life experiences and conversations, “Ungrateful African Youth” is more than music — it is a declaration, a reminder that becoming yourself is not rebellion but destiny.
With this release, Tiwizzy positions himself as a bold voice in the new generation of Afro Hip-Hop artists, connecting deeply with listeners who understand the struggle between expectation and self-identity.
