Oxygen facials are nonmedical, chemical-free procedures that are carried out by professional aestheticians. The main focus of the treatment is to revitalize the skin by infusing it with oxygen, which will enhance blood circulation, promote collagen production, and improve skin elasticity, thereby reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Experts also say that oxygenated skin cells allow the pores to better absorb hyaluronic acid, vitamins, and botanical ingredients, promoting hydration and a more even skin tone; oxygen is also known to accelerate wound healing and kill certain bacteria, leading to a reduction in acne and acne scars.
Additionally, oxygen facials are non-invasive and usually will not result in downtime. Clients who receive a treatment can immediately apply makeup or other cosmetics to their skin afterward.
