Dallas, Texas – October 15, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –
Longhorn Reels, a Texas-based manufacturer of wire and cable handling solutions, has introduced a new line of heavy duty pallet jacks engineered for demanding warehouse and industrial environments. The addition expands the company’s material handling product range and addresses the needs of operations that require equipment capable of managing substantial loads.
The new pallet jack carries a maximum capacity of 5,500 pounds and is built for long-term durability under continuous use. The unit features a fork width of 27 inches, a fork length of 60 inches, an individual fork width of 14.37 inches, a fork lowered height of 7.87 inches, and a minimum ground clearance of 3.15 inches. Tough nylon wheels support movement across a range of floor surfaces found in distribution centers and production facilities.

The product is positioned for heavy duty warehouse use, where equipment reliability and load capacity influence daily productivity. Longhorn Reels designed the unit to handle repeated lifting and transport tasks common in industrial settings, from receiving docks to storage aisles.
“The new pallet jack was developed in response to customers who manage heavy loads and need equipment that holds up under constant demand,” said a spokesperson of Longhorn Reels. “The 5,500 pound capacity and reinforced construction reflect the real conditions found on warehouse floors, where dependable handling equipment keeps operations moving.”
The launch follows the company’s broader expansion into custom metal fabrication for a range of industries. Longhorn Reels has grown its rack fabrication systems to serve data centers, including facilities supporting artificial intelligence infrastructure, as well as chip manufacturers and cabling operations. Using precision laser cut parts and certified welding, the company builds custom fabricated rack systems for data centers alongside compartment reels and stands, reel systems for wire, cable and hose, and PVC storage racks.
“Expanding the material handling line alongside custom fabrication work allows the company to support customers across the full scope of their storage and handling needs,” The spokesperson said. “Whether a project calls for a tailored rack system or standard handling equipment, the engineering team applies the same standards of quality and repeatability.”
The pallet jack joins a product catalog that includes light fixture carts, PVC storage racks, job boxes, wire pull boxes, coiler and take-up systems, compartment reels and stands, turn tables, roller platforms, mobile reel systems, and rack systems. The company also offers custom manufacturing for projects that require tailored solutions, with an engineering team available to assist from concept through production.
Longhorn Reels is a division of GO Industries and is based in Richardson, Texas. The company brings more than 46 years of manufacturing experience to the design and production of wire and cable handling solutions. All products are made in the United States at one of two Texas plants, where a staff of 70 uses current fabricating equipment to maintain consistent quality. Longhorn Reels specializes in material storage and handling for the cable and wire industries and continues to broaden its offerings for warehouse, industrial, and data center applications.
