New cards broaden Serial Cables’ PCIe 6.0 lineup as the company previews its path to a 7.0 host adapter.
ENGLEWOOD, CO, UNITED STATES, September 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Serial Cables, LLC is expanding its PCIe host card portfolio to support the next generation of high-speed silicon. The new lineup features the Broadcom Atlas3 PCIe 6.0 family and the Microchip Switchtec™ PM60160. Looking ahead, the company will also introduce cards powered by the upcoming Broadcom Atlas7 PCIe 7.0 switch chip.
While PCIe 6.0 drives, accelerators, and storage devices are already reaching the market, the host platforms required to test them often lag. This delay leaves engineering teams without a reliable way to qualify new hardware on schedule. Serial Cables’ host cards remove this bottleneck, allowing teams to integrate next-generation devices into existing systems and begin testing immediately.
Furthermore, Serial Cables provides design and validation teams with a single-vendor path from signal-integrity specification to a fully validated bench. This effectively closes the gap between the release of cutting-edge devices and the shipment of matching host platforms.
Because Serial Cables owns its tooling and manufacturing, the entire host card line is available in low MOQ, with no volume lock-in and without the months-long lead times common to larger suppliers.

Preview: PCIe 7.0 Atlas7 Host Card (Target Q2 2027):
Serial Cables is also previewing the Atlas7 host card (extended FHFL), designed for PCIe 7.0 teams. The card will provide x16 AIC to x16 straddle connectivity plus 4× x8 MCIO. By targeting a Q2 2027 release, Serial Cables aims to reach engineers roughly a year ahead of the silicon vendor’s PDK availability, giving teams a head start on the stringent signal-integrity requirements of the PCIe 7.0 generation.
These host cards are one part of a broader H2 2026–H1 2027 roadmap. Serial Cables will continue to expand its offerings across CDFP, MCIO, EDSFF, and OSFP-XD, including adapters, retimers, active and passive cables, and expansion enclosures. This roadmap also includes 1.6T OSFP-XD and OSFP networking assemblies designed for next-generation hyperscale architectures.
Availability:
